Botanica Logo and Magazine Layout

Overview

For this project, I was asked to design a logo and magazine layout for a newly founded urban farming publication. For the logo, I sought to create an easily recognizable, geometric, organic logo that was sophisticated, solid and simple. I love to play with repeating patterns and reversing shapes out of backgrounds to create object outlines—this project gave me the perfect opportunity to do both.

For the magazine, the goal was to create a modern, contemporary looking periodical, which still embraced the roots of this unique agricultural phenomenon that has been growing in cities and small towns since the early 80s.
